The Diamond Nine High School Summer Program is built for pitchers who want to use the summer to truly develop while still competing in travel ball and tournament play.

We understand that summer baseball means games, doubleheaders, and heavy tournament weekends. This program is structured around that reality. Workloads adjust based on competition so players can continue developing without overloading their arm during busy weeks.

Each week follows a structured A Day, B Day, and Recovery rotation designed specifically for high school athletes.

A Days focus on progressive intent. We build throwing intensity the right way controlled effort early, increasing once properly stretched out. These days may include long toss progression, high-intent throws, flat-ground execution, and scheduled bullpens.

B Days emphasize mechanical consistency, rhythm, direction, and 75–80% controlled effort. These days sharpen movement patterns while managing stress on the arm.

Recovery Days prioritize light catch play, arm care, mobility, and restoration. High school pitchers need development but they also need protection.

Bullpens are integrated throughout the summer and are tracked using Rapsodo pitch tracking technology. During bullpen sessions, pitchers receive measurable feedback on:

  • Velocity

  • Spin rate and efficiency

  • Pitch movement profiles

  • Command trends

This allows players to understand what their pitches are actually doing — not just how they feel.

When tournaments are scheduled, competitive days replace high-intent throwing days. The program adjusts accordingly to balance performance and long-term durability.

Throughout the summer, pitchers also participate in:

  • Structured plyo ball programming

  • Arm care and deceleration strength work

  • Mobility training focused on hips and thoracic rotation

  • Rotational strength development

  • Intentional workload management

The goal of the high school summer program is simple:

  • Improve velocity safely

  • Develop command and consistency

  • Build better movement patterns

  • Increase durability

  • Establish structured routines before fall ball

Diamond Nine is focused on building complete pitchers not just chasing radar numbers.
